Lovely Lerryn
Lerryn is the kind of place people stumble upon and never quite forget. Tucked inland along a tidal creek of the River Fowey, this tiny enchanting Cornish village is said to have inspired Kenneth Grahame when he wrote Wind in the Willows — and it's easy to see why. Ancient woodland tumbles to the water's edge, stepping stones cross the river, and the whole place moves at a pace that feels almost otherworldly.

Lostwithiel, a charming medieval market town. Fowey harbour views, brilliant restaurants and beautiful boutique shops. The Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are both within 20 minutes and genuinely unmissable. My Favourite Beaches
Polkerris is 25 minutes away a sheltered sandy cove with a brilliant pub and restaurant right on the beach.
Lantic Bay is wild, beautiful and only accessible on foot — worth every step.
Lansallos unspoilt, utterly stunning, and barely on the map.

A Retreat For All Seasons
Spring — Bluebells carpet the woodland floor, the river comes alive with wildlife and the village is peaceful and unhurried. Cornwall at its most quietly beautiful.
Summer — Warm evenings on the balcony watching the tide come in. Swimming at nearby coves. Long golden days exploring the coast or just messing around on the river.
Autumn — The woodland turns to gold and copper. Crisp riverside walks and the pub calling your name.
Winter — A wonderfully cosy retreat. The river at its most dramatic. The kind of deep rest you simply can't find at home.
